Youth Size Chart

Our braille t-shirts are now available in kids sizes for the entire family to enjoy!

The adorable kids in these photos all got to choose their own phrase for their braille t-shirt. The braille phrases on these shirts read:

  • I am the future
  • Stay curious
  • Diversity includes disability
  • & Braille rules

Available in custom or original, you can choose your own special phrase or from one of our community favorites: Fashion is for everyone, diversity includes disability, or blindness is a spectrum. All of the braille is created with silver beads that are durable, easy to clean, and can withstand all of the fun playing and dancing that kids love to do! The beadwork is added by hand with great precision for superior braille legibility.

Made from premium materials, the fabric is ultra-soft and very comfortable to wear. By buying a braille t-shirt, you’re supporting the empowerment of blind and visually impaired individuals while teaching young kids about inclusivity.

Materials

Legible braille created with premium crystal pearls. Fabric consists of 50% polyester, 25% cotton, and 25% rayon. It's a very soft material, light weight, and sensory friendly. The beads are smooth to the touch and easy to read.

Wash Instructions

Turn your t-shirt inside out before washing. Machine wash with cold water. Hang to dry. For best results, do not put t-shirt in dryer.

When wrinkled, it is okay to use a steamer. Do not use an iron on or near the braille beadwork. Like most t-shirts, this fabric is likely to attract lint and hair. It is best practice to use a lint roller.

5% Donation

5% of t-shirt profits are donated to the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB), who we are honoured to have a long-term partnership with.

AFB is the internationally recognized blindness organization that Helen Keller worked with for over 40 years.

Design Process

The intricate braille beadwork is applied by hand with great care and precision. Our garments are created in a process called co-design where we work alongside a diverse team of sighted and non-sighted individuals consisting of braille readers, fashion stylists, and disability advocates. Each item is made in North America and is designed to initiate conversation about disability inclusion.

Accessible Packaging

Accessible packaging includes a large print and braille card describing the product and how to wash it. We use a braille slate and stylus to add all of the braille by hand. An embossed version of the Aille Design logo is also on the card.

Sustainability
