This black sleeveless turtleneck dress is a classic that can easily be worn year round, layered with a jacket, and paired with an ankle boot. The loose turtleneck collar and white braille beadwork add instant sophistication and modern elegance while increasing the number of places you can wear it. Not only does it look great, the stretchy dress fabric makes it comfortable to wear all day. The dress is a side medium and flatters many body types. Because this piece is in the style of a shift dress, it can be worn by smaller silhouettes to have a roomier, straight cut appearance or can be worn by larger silhouettes for a more fitted appearance. The location of the white braille beadwork from the neckline to the dress hem will elongate your body and make you look taller.

White braille beadwork reads:

Materials

Legible braille created with premium crystal pearls. Fabric consists of 63% rayon, 32% nylon, and 5% spandex. It's a thick, but lightweight, and stretchy but not seethrough. The white beads are smooth to the touch and easy to read.

Wash Instructions

Turn your dress inside out before washing. Machine wash with cold water. Hang to dry. For best results, do not put t-shirt in dryer.

When wrinkled, it is okay to use a steamer. Do not use an iron on or near the braille beadwork.

Design Process

The intricate braille beadwork is applied by hand with great care and precision. Our garments are created in a process called co-design where we work alongside a diverse team of sighted and non-sighted individuals consisting of braille readers, fashion stylists, and disability advocates. Each item is made in North America and is designed to initiate conversation about disability inclusion.

Accessible Packaging

Accessible packaging includes a large print and braille card describing the product and how to wash it. We use a braille slate and stylus to add all of the braille by hand. An embossed version of the Aille Design logo is also on the card.

Sustainability

Products: Our high quality products are designed to endure a long lifespan and become a key part of your wardrobe. We also produce limited product quantities to help reduce waste.

Packaging: Our simulated braille tissue paper and branded stickers are eco-friendly and can be composted or recycled after use.
